DataLine as part of Rostelecom Data Center strengthened its leading position in the data center services market

The DataLine company as part of the Rostelecom Data Center group of companies took first place in the rating of the largest Russian data center service providers (DPC) according to CNews Analytics. The study takes into account the revenue of players and an estimate of the number of rack spaces put into operation as of December 31, 2021.

Geo-distributed network of data centers "Rostelecom-DPC" with sites in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Udomlya and Novosibirsk, includes the capacities of subsidiaries: DataLine, MMTS-9 and others. The total network capacity is 13 669 rack spaces.

At the end of 2021, data center services provided 31.8 billion rubles of the company's revenue, which is 80% more than in the previous year.

"Russian business still needs a lot of cloud resources and our goal is to try to meet this demand as much as possible. Now we are focused on expanding capacities in the central region, and in the near future we will announce the commissioning of the unique Moscow-V project — one of the few Tier IV level data centers in Russia», — noted the CEO of "Rostelecom-DPC" Sergey Bochkarev.

CNews Analytics experts record a 12% growth in the data center services market in 2021. Analysts also note that despite the current shortage of equipment, growth rates will remain at the level of 10-15% per year.
