DataLine launches Amazon S3 compatible object storage
DataLine has launched a new service – data-intensive object storage. The object storage allows for storing content and media files requiring constant availability, as well as directories, archives and backup copies.
DataLine object storage is fully compatible with Amazon S3. The service is based on the Lenovo DX 8200C data storage system on the Cloudian’s platform. The platform supports complete functionality of the main and extended Amazon S3 API.
The infrastructure is deployed in DataLine’s own Tier III data centers. The DCs are located in Moscow, which ensures data storage in accordance with the current legislation and fewer network delays for customers.
One of the benefits of this service is flexible pricing (PAYG): the rate depends on the type of storage and the stored content usage frequency. It is calculated in RUB and is much more favorable than its foreign counterparts.
“Object storage is an important element of the IT ecosystem we create, where businesses of any level will be able to solve the widest possible variety of IT tasks,” Sergey Mishchuk, DataLine Technical Director comments. From now on, our customers have access to all the features of a 100 % S3-compatible storage at the prices lower than those of Amazon, and all this with Russian-speaking support and deployment in Russia.”
