DataLine and Rostelecom Data Center confirmed PCI DSS certification for all data centers
Rostelecom Data Center and DataLine, which is part of it, received an updated certificate of compliance with the requirements of the international payment data security standard PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry DataSecurity Standard) version 3.2.1 for the colocation service in all data centers of the network.
The obtained certificate guarantees that clients using the colocation service can process data about payment card holders in accordance with international standards. During the compliance audit, an assessment was carried out of the data center premises where the customers' IT equipment is located, as well as the physical security processes in the data centers: access control and management, video surveillance, access control, security policies, hardware and software settings.
The scope of the renewed certificate includes all sites of the geo-distributed network of data centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Udomlya.
The PCI DSS standard was developed by the international payment systems Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB and Discover. Its latest version 3.2.1 contains detailed technical and organizational requirements, the fulfillment of which guarantees the secure processing of cardholder data, as well as its transfer and storage in the IT systems of other organizations as part of their business processes.
